Another match against Bovingdon and yet another f*****g expedition to find the ground ! This place must have the most possible alternative routes to get there....why can't they play in Rome cuz all roads lead there apparently. This is absolutely the last time I drive to this place - I'm asking for a lift for next seasons fixture already !

What makes it worse is the fact that they are rapidly becoming something of a bogey side - we never seem to put up a good performance against them and this match was no exception - we were total pants.

Somehow we only dropped the one catch but our fielding was one of the most lacklustre performances seen in a number of years with players constantly drifting out of position, running like Douglas Bader turning difficult one's into easy three's and looking totally uninterested in the game. Animal still managed to take another couple of catches and overtake Fat Blokes record for the whole of last season in two games. Oh, and Alien did take an absolute stormer behind the stumps but they were pretty much the highlights of a dire Iver Heath fielding performance.

If we thought that was bad, however, our batting lacked any sort of conviction and we were thoroughly trounced on a wicket that started to play inconsistently as the innings progressed with both Alien and Roll On   caught out by shooters. Colin "The Man With No Nickname" Terry livened things up early doors with some of the highest hit two's I've ever seen but once Fat Bloke retired hurt with a torn calf muscle (that'll be all the weight he's carrying) we seemed to lose direction and only some good hitting by Chod and Rocky made the scoreline remotely respectable.

Man of the Match : Colin Terry (TMWNN) 73 points
